Maud Gravereaux was born in Le Mans in France. She grew up in Kinshasa, Nouakchott, and Paris.
After a first year degree at Duperré School of Applied Arts (Paris), Maud joined the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, where she studied Interior Design. During this time, Maud discovered the magic world of stop motion. In order to advance her new passion, she took the leap across the Rhine to Germany in 1997 and joined the Animation Institute of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg (major in Production Design and Character Animation).
During these three years, her collaboration with Christian Fischer yielded several short films such as “Frontière” and “Oberkampf”, which received international Film festivals awards. At the same time she graduated in Animation from ENSAD in 1999.
In 2000 Maud moved to Munich and worked as a set designer for TV-advertising, on-air-promotion, and fiction documentaries. In addition, she has been pursuing her career as a drawing artist in a wide range of styles from freehand sketch to various illustrations, event visualization, and production design for animation film.
Maud works and lives with her husband and daughter in Munich.
